Hello Bands!
I’d like to first offer my thanks to you for your interest in playing at our establishment. We are excited to work with many of you, and look forward to many exciting shows in the future. We’ve received lots of emails and calls from interested bands seeking information on available dates, specifications of the venue, and any other pertinent information that goes along with playing our venue, and I thought this would be a happy medium with which to get that information across.
I’ll begin with these simple truths: We want your shows to be successful in every way possible. Everyone associated with Blind Bob’s is committed to local music in Dayton and strives to create an available space where it can flourish. We want to have every band who walks in the door find a venue full of professional attitudes and helpful, open-minded, and knowledgeable minds. We want to do anything and everything we can to help you in whatever way possible.
But please don’t expect the bar alone to make your shows successful. If that occurs, a new exciting venue turns into the same old clubs we’ve had in the past, and none of us want that. Basically, we are striving for a symbiotic relationship with our bands. It is the old “you-scratch-our-backs, we-scratch-yours” kind of thing. In return for the commitment we are offering you, we expect to see the same commitment back.

Touring Bands
Out of town acts will not be booked without local support for a show. Local support means a band who has played the bar before and can draw. The house policy is to let the local acts decide who they want to play with. It will probably save time to contact local groups before trying to line up a show. Thanks! (Sorry, due to the large number of requests for shows, we can’t help you contact local bands.)
